ALABAMA GREEN PARTY ENDORSES GOVERNOR'S TAX AND ACCOUNTABILITY PACKAGE

The Alabama Green Party today endorsed Governor Bob Riley's Educational Excellence and Government Accountability Plan. The party, an accredited affiliate of the Green Party of the United States, will join more than 60 other organizations in the Alabama Partnership for Progress, a coalition working to pass the reform proposal.

Organized in March and accredited in July, the Alabama Green Party is the youngest state affiliate of the Green Party of the United States. The Greens are a global, decentralized, highly diverse political movement of people who share Ten Key Values: Ecological Wisdom, Social Justice, Grassroots Democracy, Nonviolence, Decentralization, Community-based Economics, Feminism, Respect for Diversity, Personal and Global Responsibility, and Future Focus.
